Terms of service.

Last updated 10 June 2026

1. Who we are

Inventory Scan is provided by Rocket Gems Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 11469790), registered office: Lytchett House, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset, England, BH16 6FA ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the organisation you represent.

2. The service

Inventory Scan is a browser-based inventory tracking service: scanning, item records, label printing, stock counts, imports and exports, and related features. We improve the product continuously, which means features may be added, changed, or retired. If we retire something material, we'll give reasonable notice.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Workspace owners and admins control who has access to their workspace. You must be at least 16 and provide accurate account information.

4. Plans and billing

The free plan is free indefinitely, subject to its published limits. Paid plans are billed in advance via Stripe, monthly, at the prices shown on our pricing page. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time; changes are prorated and cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period. If we change prices, existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice. Exceeding plan limits never deletes data — it only restricts adding more.

5. Your data

Your inventory data belongs to you. We claim no ownership of it, and you can export it as XLSX at any time. You grant us only the licence needed to host, process, and display it to your workspace members. Our handling of personal data is described in the privacy policy. We back up the service regularly, but you should keep exports of data you can't afford to lose.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use the service to break the law, infringe others' rights, distribute malware, probe or disrupt our infrastructure, or resell access without our agreement. Don't upload content you don't have the right to store. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk, and we'll tell you why unless the law prevents it.

7. Availability and support

We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without uptime guarantees on self-serve plans. We may perform maintenance, and we'll try to schedule disruptive maintenance outside peak hours. Support is by email at support@inventoryscan.com.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence). Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, or loss of data caused by events outside our reasonable control, and our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the greater of £100 or the amount you paid us in that period. The service is an inventory tool — it is not a system of record for safety-critical or regulatory-compliance decisions.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We can terminate or suspend accounts that materially breach these terms. On termination we delete workspace data as described in the privacy policy; export your data first.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we'll email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you're a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections of your home country's law.
