What counts as an item?
One item is one record with a quantity — a SKU, a tool, an asset. 50 cordless drills tracked as a quantity of 50 is one item, not fifty.
Is scanning limited on the free plan?
No. Scanning is unlimited on every plan, including the free one. We never meter scans.
What happens when I hit the item limit?
Nothing breaks. Existing items stay fully editable and scannable — you just can't add new ones until you upgrade or remove some.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Yes. Changes apply immediately and billing is prorated. Downgrading never deletes data — if you're over the smaller plan's limits, everything stays readable and editable.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The free plan needs only an email address, and it's free forever — not a trial.
