FAQ

Common questions.

Is there a dedicated check-out / check-in flow?

Not yet as a labelled feature. Custom fields ('Borrower', 'Due back', 'Condition') get most teams there. Dedicated due-date reminders are on the roadmap.

How do I see overdue equipment?

Filter the items list by 'Due back' date. A dedicated overdue dashboard is a planned feature.

Can borrowers self-check-out?

Today, a staff member with workspace access does the scan. Public self-service kiosks are a future enhancement.

Borrowers don't have an app, does that matter?

No, there's no app. Staff phone scans. Borrowers don't need access.

Will QR labels survive daily handling?

On laser-printed Avery labels stuck to plastic gear: yes. For metal or rough surfaces, use polyester or laminated labels.

Can I track damage on return?

Use a 'Condition' dropdown (New, Good, Fair, Damaged). The activity log keeps the history.
