FAQ
Common questions.
Is there a dedicated check-out / check-in flow?
Yes, and it's on every plan including free. Check an item out to a named borrower with an optional due-back date, then check it back in. Both actions are logged with who did them and when.
How do I see overdue equipment?
The Checked out page lists everything currently out, grouped by borrower and sorted by due date, with anything past its due date flagged as overdue. Automated reminder emails are on the roadmap.
Can borrowers self-check-out?
Today, a staff member with workspace access does the scan. Public self-service kiosks are a future enhancement.
Borrowers don't have an app, does that matter?
No, there's no app. Staff phone scans. Borrowers don't need access.
Will QR labels survive daily handling?
On laser-printed Avery labels stuck to plastic gear: yes. For metal or rough surfaces, use polyester or laminated labels.
Can I track damage on return?
Use a 'Condition' dropdown (New, Good, Fair, Damaged). The activity log keeps the history.
