FAQ
Common questions.
How long does a stocktake take?
Plan on roughly two items a minute per person once labels are on — and every extra phone you hand out shortens the job proportionally. A 1,000-item storeroom is an afternoon for two people.
Can we use it for the end-of-financial-year stocktake?
Yes. Run a full session, apply the counted quantities, then export the inventory as XLSX for your accountant. The activity log records who counted and when.
Can several people scan into the same stocktake?
Yes. Anyone in the workspace joins the open session from their own phone, and the tally updates across devices as scans come in.
What happens to shelves nobody scanned?
They keep their existing quantities, and the variance report lists them under 'Not counted' — so a missed aisle is visible rather than silently wrong.
Can I do partial stocktakes?
Yes. Scope the session to a folder — one storeroom, one van, one aisle — and codes from outside it are rejected when scanned.
Do we have to stop picking during the stocktake?
No. Nothing is frozen while a session is open. When you press apply, each counted item is set to the session's tally, so count fast-moving areas last.
Can I export the result?
After apply, export the whole inventory as XLSX. A dedicated count-history export is on the roadmap.
