Do I need a barcode scanner gun?

No. Your phone camera reads Code 128, Code 39, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, and QR codes straight from the browser. USB scanners also work on desktop if you already own one.

Is it really free?

Yes. The free plan includes 100 items, 2 users, unlimited scanning, label printing, custom fields, and spreadsheet import and export. No credit card required.

How is this different from Sortly?

Inventory Scan runs entirely in the browser, so there is nothing to install and every plan includes scanning. The free plan includes 2 users and label printing, where Sortly's free plan is limited to 1 user and reserves QR label creation for paid plans. See the full comparison.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. Any phone running Safari 14+ or Chrome 90+ with a camera works. Add it to your home screen and it launches like a native app.

Can I import my existing spreadsheet?

Yes. Upload a CSV or XLSX file, columns are auto-mapped, and you preview everything before applying. Folders are created automatically from path columns.

Can I add photos of my items?

Yes, up to 8 per item, taken straight from your phone camera. A photo is usually the fastest way to recognise something on a shelf, so items show theirs everywhere they appear. Included on every plan.

Can I track servicing and maintenance?

Yes. Give any item a service schedule with a due date, repeating every so many days if it recurs. Overdue and upcoming work lands on your dashboard, admins get a daily reminder email, and every completed job is kept as a permanent service history. Free on every plan.

Can I get my data out again?
