Why QR over a barcode?

QR codes are square, encode more data, and have error correction (readable when partially damaged). They scan faster on phones.

How much data goes in the QR?

Just the item's short code. The scanner looks it up in your workspace. No personal data in the QR itself.

Can I use my own codes?

Yes. Leave blank for auto-gen, or paste any code (asset tag, UPC, existing QR payload).

What size should I print?

1 by 2-5/8 inch (Avery 5160) works for most items. 2 by 4 inch (Avery 5163) for lockers and cabinets.

Will old codes still work?

Yes. Codes are short strings and we keep matching them as long as the workspace exists.

Can I scan retail QR codes?

Yes, if you saved the payload as an item code. You can also save a scanned code on the fly as a new item's code.
