FAQ
Common questions.
How is Receive mode different from regular scanning?
In Find mode, scanning shows you the item info. In Receive mode, scanning silently adds +1 to that item's quantity and logs it. Switch with the pill at the top of /scan/.
Can I receive more than one at a time?
Today, each scan is +1. If a pallet has 12 of one SKU, scan the SKU once and tap +11 on the running log, or open the item and set the quantity. We're considering a multiplier option.
What if I scan a code that isn't in my workspace?
You'll see an inline 'no item with this code' row in the receive log with a 'Create' button to add it. Doesn't break the session.
Does it work with USB barcode scanner guns?
Yes. USB scanners type the code into the active field, just like a keyboard. Receive mode picks up keystrokes the same way the camera picks up scans.
Where does the receive history live?
The on-screen list shows the current session. For long-term history, open Activity from the user menu — each receive is logged as 'received N (now X)' with timestamp and the user who scanned.
Will my quantities be wrong if I scan the same code twice by accident?
Every scan is +1, so a double-scan would bump qty by 2. Use the on-screen list to verify, or fix it from the item detail page.
